We are very proud to announce that our “mojito” cocktail received the excellent score of 91.6% in the sensory evaluation assigned by the prestigious « International Taste Institute »! As a result, this mojito is granted the most renowned “Superior Taste Award” certification. This award is a prestigious recognition of the best food and drinks based on a specific set of criteria.
This prize is given by a large panel of professional taste-experts. The jury of the International Taste Institute consists of a total of 200 external and independent chefs and sommeliers, coming from over 20 different countries and carefully selected based on their experience in tasting. Their talents are recognized by renowned institutions such as the Michelin Guide or the Gault & Millaut gastronomy guides. The jury members include many head-sommeliers and chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants, such as El Bulli in Spain or Le Jules Vernes in France. In addition, there are also chefs cooking for personalities such as the French president or the queen of England.
During the sensory evaluation, products are blind tested. Moreover, all products are presented in standardized transparent or white porcelain and in natural light. The jury is not aware of the brand name of the product, the origin of the products, and the evaluation is done in silence without communication with other jury members. In this manner, each product is fairly assessed based on five predetermined criteria and evaluated on its organoleptic quality.
The five criteria that the International Taste Institute uses to evaluate the products presented are the following: first impression, vision, olfaction, taste, texture (for food) and final sensation (for drinks). Ultimately, these five scores are considered and weighted to obtain a final score.
